The House of Saud is pretty corrupt. Stories of Saudi princes
drinking and whoring while overseas abound.
To begin with, all they wanted was power while refusing the
responsibility of the Caliphate.
The Grand Mosque Hostage Crisis of 1979 was pretty much a result
of their corruption.... had the rebels seized the royal palace
instead of the Grand Mosque, the Saudi royal family would have gone
kaput.
